Situated on Balmoral Drive off Trinity Hill, St Ewold's has sixty single occupancy rooms and three suites which are ideal for couples, partners or close relatives wishing to enter residential care together.

Facilities

The Home provides care for residents with a wide range of needs, ranging from totally independent residents to those who have greater physical needs and, due to its environment, is able to offer a home to residents using wheelchairs, as well as walking frames and walking sticks. There is also the facility of five nursing beds.

Each room has a call system to summon assistance, and all rooms are ensuite; however each floor offers additional bathrooms with disabled facilities. The main lounge is situated on the first floor, with the main dining room on the ground floor together with a hairdressing salon and hobbies room

Social Activities

Social activities are organised regularly and range from Island tours, coffee mornings, gardening, theatre trips, restaurant and pub outings, bingo and crafts. A changing stock of library books are available, many of which are in larger print, and newpapers can be ordered at your request, to be paid for by yourself. 

If you currently attend any day centres or social clubs, arrangements can be made for this to continue. Similarly your own GP can make visits, and Family Nursing & Home Care provide support services to all Parish homes.

Staff

The Home Manager has overall responsibility for the home, its residents and staff. The staff team is made up of qualified health care professionals and ancillary staff. The residents' immediate needs will be met by carers, who are available 24 hours a day. Each room has a call system to summon assistance. Housekeeping staff will clean all residents' rooms and communal areas on a daily basis. Kitchen staff provide a varied and nutritious daily menu, and will endeavour to meet any special dietary needs. St Ewold's also has five nursing care beds for residents who require a higher level of care, with the nurses all being RGNs.
